Sunday Pictures

We took pictures after church today. Just wanted some new pictures.

Christmas In April

For Christmas, Nannie and Tommy wanted the whole family to come to Pickwick. There were 22 of us in all, including two babies. So the date of April 18 was chosen. We ate a buffet lunch and then took a boat ride on the Pickwick Belle. It had rained earlier, so the boat ride was a little chilly, but we all had a great time.

Video from Nashville

This video is from our recent trip to Nashville. We were at Opry Mills and had just eaten lunch. Parker wanted to ride the carousel and he had been so good that morning at the mall that I said sure! I could not believe it, but he wanted to get in the spinning seat. It is like the tea cups at Disney World. Well, as you can see, he had a lot of fun!

St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

On Thursday, Parker had his St. Jude Trike-A-Thon at preschool. It was so cute. He chose to take his scooter and ride it for St. Jude. He really got into what it was all about. I asked him why he was having the Trike-A-Thon and he said, "To save St. Jude!" What is St. Jude?" He said, "A Hospital for sick kids and we are going to give them our money to help make them better." I am thankful for my child who wants to help others.

Parker is enjoying his Popsicle after the Trike-A-Thon.

Easter Sunday

We had a nice Easter Sunday. It wasn't too hectic, which was nice. The boys enjoyed their treats from the Easter Bunny. Spencer LOVES Mickey Mouse. Our sweet neighbor gave him a Mickey Mouse toy and he absolutely loves it. I just have to start walking to the closet to get it and he starts going crazy. So, the Easter Bunny brought him a Mickey Mouse DVD, book and plush Mickey. He also got Pop Links.Parker likes explaining everything new to Spencer. Parker LOVES the Berenstain Bears books. So, he got a set of Berenstain bears books, (which I love because they are from Focus on the Family. They are about the Golden Rule, Say Their Prayers, Go to Sunday School and God loves you) DVD and a new Leapster game.

After church, we went to Carol's for Easter lunch. Parker had the Easter egg hunt to himself. So, it was more of a race. There were three prize eggs. One for him, Spencer and Baby Ethan. He was sweet and gave them their eggs. They each had a $2 bill in them.

Spencer's First Grizzlies Game

Spencer made it to his first Grizzlies game. They played the Portland Trailblazers and lost 96-93. Obviously, he didn't know what to think about it, but he made it until the end of the game and had a great time. I am sure that he will be at many more with his big brother and daddy.

Mommy's Birthday Trip

We went to Nashville and stayed at the Opryland Hotel for my birthday. I just wanted a shopping trip. We had a great family getaway. The boys were great and we had a lot of fun. We ate at a restaurant in the hotel Thursday night. Friday we went to Opry Mills for most of the day. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday dinner, which was fabulous! Saturday we shopped a little more then came back home.

Spencer was happy after he had eaten.

Parker and daddy at the restaurant in the hotel.

Yes, Parker got to ride one of those silly rides at the mall. He had earned it after being there all day while mommy shopped.

Mommy and her two boys at the Opryland Hotel. (Yes, Fluff even made the picture.)

We ran into MAJOR traffic on the way back home. This is Parker entertaining himself. I thought it was too cute!

Weekend at Mimi and Papee's

We recently spent the weekend at Mimi and Papee's. Chris, Haley, Chandler and Macie were also there. We had a great time celebrating birthdays for dad, Chris, me and Haley. I can't believe it, but this is the only good picture that I got. Oh well!

The End of a Season

Parker recently finished his first basketball season. He did great and had lots of fun! This was the basketball end of the season party/banquet. Parker never knew what to call it. Here is the team picture with their trophies. (L to R) Brian, Jaydon, Daryl, Bart, Parker, Alex and Dawson. aka The Mays Grizzlies.

Alex's mom did a great job providing the team with MVP medals and awards. Parker LOVED the medal. He was on cloud 9 going home with a trophy and a medal.

The cake was so cute. Of course, they all wanted the figurines to take home.

Brian's mom had made a video of the team's last game and they got to watch it during the party. They thought that was cool getting to watch themselves.

Bart was very surprised when they gave him a gift card for all of his hard work.

A Silly Day With the Boys

Let me introduce the newest May.....Fluff

We went to Nashville and stayed at the Opryland Hotel for my birthday. I wanted a shopping trip so that is what we did. While I shopped, my wonderful husband did a great job entertaining two boys at Opry Mills. One thing that they did was Build-A-Bear. I had a coupon for $10 off, so it was cheap entertainment as well. $4! Parker came back with Fluff. He has been so cute with it. He told us, "Fluff can look at you, mommy, but he only talks to me," "Fluff wants to see the hotel." We took Fluff everywhere as you can see from this picture.

Cloud Gazing

One day when we were eating lunch, Parker was looking out the kitchen window staring at the clouds. Parker said, "Look, Mommy! I see an alligator with six legs!" I love a child's imagination and those precious moments during lunch.

Brotherly Love

Recently when I picked Parker up from preschool, he said the sweetest thing to Spencer. He got in the back seat. Spencer was awake and smiling, very happy to see Parker. Parker said, "Hey buddy! I sure missed that smile today." :) I love my boys!

Cake Day

On Friday, I asked Parker, "What do you want to do today? Maybe go to the Children's Museum." He replied, "No. Let's stay home and make a cake and decorate it with icing and sprinkles." And yes that is what we did.

Parker LOVED using the mixer all by himself.

We got a little silly with the cake batter.
The finished product with icing and sprinkles.

Spencer

Parker adores Spencer! I love this about them. He loves being his big brother and says that they are already best friends. Earlier this week, Parker commented about Spencer getting bigger. He asked if Spencer was ever going to cry. I explained how Spencer fusses if he gets hungry or needs something. Parker didn't really see that as crying.

Spencer is really a happy boy. He has his two bottom teeth, enjoys eating, says 'mama' and 'dada', sits up and is getting ready to crawl. He LOVES watching Parker do anything and everything.
This is just a cute picture of Spencer in the exersaucer :)

Car Request

Parker and I were going down Poplar Ave. earlier this week. We saw a convertible beside us. He asked, "Mommy, what kind of car is that?" I said, "That is called a convertible." He replied, "That is exactly the kind of car that I want."

A Dream Come True

Last week my mommy dream came true! We were having our family Bible bedtime story with Parker. The story was about Adam and Eve. It said they were married. Parker began to ask about being married. He told me, "Mommy, when I am like 20, I want to marry you." I melted! Every mommy wants to hear that from their little boy.

(This is a picture from last year. Couldn't find a recent one. Guess I am always the picture taker.)

Playgroup on Monday, March 2

Monday we had playgroup at our house. Monday was also Dr. Seuss's birthday. Of course, we had things that went along with Dr. Seuss. The children got to make Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat hats for snack.

We used Ritz crackers as the base. We used vanilla frosting to make the Gummy Savers stick together.

We also had other snacks that went along with his books:

Mini Corn Dog - Go Dog Go

Apples - Ten Apples Up On Top

ABC Cookies - Dr. Seuss's ABC's
(We also had donuts and lollipops from this book as well.)

Cheese Trees - Fox In Socks

We had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday!

Snowy Sunday, March 1

Sunday we woke up to 6 1/2 inches of snow! It was absolutely beautiful! Bart and Parker had a blast playing outside. Spencer and I stayed inside due to the fact that he had an ear infection. Bart and Parker made a snowman, snow angels and even an igloo. We made it a special time and made smores and snow cream as well.

Lazy Saturday
