Happy Halloween

Parker's choice for a costume this year was a firefighter. He really got a lot of wear out of his costume (Thanks Monya). We went to Trunk or Treat at White Station Church of Christ; He visited the Arlington Fire Department with his firefighter buddy, Kisor; He had a Halloween party at preschool and he did a lot of Trick or Treating in the neighborhood. Here was my instructions per Parker for Trick or Treating. "Daddy, you ring the doorbell. I say Trick or Treat, get candy and say Thank You." It was really fun seeing him get into the whole Halloween thing.

A Magical Business Trip

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to post this. Bart went to Orlando on a business trip. Parker and I tagged along for fun. We were there September 28th through October 5th. This was Parker's first time to fly and he did great!
We went to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday, September 29th. We absolutely had a blast! He loved the rides. At first, he would ask if it was going to be scary. (He did the same with the plane ride.) We would tell him no and that mommy and daddy would be right there beside him the whole time. The unknown was scary to him. I think that we as adults think the same way. The unknown is scary. After each ride, he would get off and say something like that was great or cool or terrific! Another great quote was: "Daddy, I am being a good boy at the Magic Kingdom." We stayed until the Magic Kingdom closed that night. He did great with only a 15 minute nap while we waited in line. We totally could have been on a Walt Disney World commercial. At dinner that night, we asked Parker what had been his favorite thing that day. He said, "Giving Mickey a high five." Priceless. (I guess that would be a Mastercard commercial.)
We went to the Animal Kingdom the next day. We had a great time there as well. Parker thought it was hilarious that Bart used to work there. He really thought Bart was joking. (Bart worked at the Animal Kingdom the first summer it opened. And has some stories to tell.)

We couldn't believe that Parker would actually pet the animals at the petting zoo. (He is terrified of dogs, but would brush the goat's back. haha!)

Parker is really into music and loved seeing bands play. We would always have to stop and listen.

Parker and I entertained ourselves very well while Bart worked during the week. We played putt-putt, went to the mall, watched movies and went to Chick-Fil-A.

We had a awesome trip. Please check out the video below that Bart made and the rest of our pictures by clicking on the photo site link on the right.
