A Month of Redbirds

The first weekend in May, Bart and Parker went to the Memphis Redbirds baseball game. Redbirds won! As you can see by the pictures, Parker enjoyed his share of ball park food.
Then the weekend of May 17, Monya, Jenny, Mike (now Jenny's fiance) and Pa came to Memphis for Bart's cousin Aaron's wedding. (Thomas and Tyler are also in the picture. Wes and Daddy were taking the picture.) After the wedding, we all went to a Redbirds game.
On Friday, May 23, the three of us decided to go again. Parker really loves it. It amazes me that he will sit through the entire game. He really watches the game and will ask questions about the game. He has his favorite players and loves to cheer for them. Rocky the Redbird signed his ticket.

I am sure that we will go to more baseball games this summer.

Beach Memories

We had our yearly beach vacation May 8-12. Parker was so excited to go to the beach. He loved our condo and kept saying, "This is a new place. I've never been here. There's that beach. Look at all the sand." Our condo had bunk beds and he loved it. Bart began unloading the car and Parker and I were sitting on the balcony. A seagull flew right by us. Parker said, "Look! It's an eagle like we see at the Auburn games." Too cute! (I did explain that it was nor an eagle.)

We ate at Sea-N-Suds and he was so happy. He even said, "This is the best food ever." I really thought that maybe we all just needed a vacation. He was so sweet. However, we then went to Wal-Mart and everything was like it is at home (whining included.)

Bart and Parker (no pregos allowed) rode the huge Ferris Wheel at the Wharf. I wasn't sure if Parker would like it, but he totally surprised me and loved it.

We had fun playing in the sand and water. Bart and Parker also played soccer and football. I didn't join in since I am 30 weeks pregnant (would not have been cute.)

We had fun in the pool too. Parker had fun jumping in and swimming.

Bart and I had our beach chairs and Parker had his. After playing for awhile, he would come and rest in his chair too. Too cute!

Parker would lay in the sand. He would get sand all over him. However, he did not want his hands to get sandy. Hilarious!

Parker did a good job building sand castles. However, he had just as much fun knocking them down too.

Bart and Parker built a "fort" to keep the water away, but then it just became something to jump over again and again.

We were there on Mother's Day. Bart and Parker made my day extra special with all of my favorites. Of course that included some shopping on Mother's Day. My favorite place to eat is Lulu's. We went there for dinner on Mother's Day. Parker loves it as well. He can play in the sand and play games such as volleyball and bagoo. However, he had the most fun with the band. Our table happened to be right next to the stage. Parker would stand up and dance. He would even pretend to play the guitar AND harmonica. Of course, on the way back to the condo, we stopped by Scoops. Parker ordered a cookies and cream waffle cone. When we got there he was wearing a white shirt. When we left, it was definitely NOT white. My least favorite thing that happened on Mother's Day was that the elevator stopped working. Did I mention that our condo was on the 12th floor and I was 30 weeks pregnant?! Luckily, I only had to walk down once, but I definitely paid the price the next day.

Other cute Parker moments:

  • We ate at Lambert's and had a good time. Parker caught a roll and was so proud.

  • Parker loved to let the water come up and go back on his feet. He was really watching it and then he said,"It's never going to stop, is it?" I said, "No, it will never stop." He said, "Wow! God stays really busy keeping the water going."

  • For some reason, he started acting like a penguin and it was hilarious. He also had some surfing moves.

  • Parker's favorite thing to do at the beach was throw shells. He would find shells and throw them into the water.

Parker did not want to leave. He asked why we couldn't just live at the condo. We had a wonderful last vacation as just the three of us.

We are very blessed.

Preschool Program

This past Thursday night was Parker's Spring Program at Preschool. He did a great job singing the songs as you can see in theses two video clips. Also, here are some pictures from that night.
