Silly Times at Breakfast

I really had a hard time feeding Spencer breakfast this morning. Watch this video to know why.

Cake Day

On Friday, I asked Parker, "What do you want to do today? Maybe go to the Children's Museum." He replied, "No. Let's stay home and make a cake and decorate it with icing and sprinkles." And yes that is what we did.

Parker LOVED using the mixer all by himself.

We got a little silly with the cake batter.
The finished product with icing and sprinkles.

Spencer

Parker adores Spencer! I love this about them. He loves being his big brother and says that they are already best friends. Earlier this week, Parker commented about Spencer getting bigger. He asked if Spencer was ever going to cry. I explained how Spencer fusses if he gets hungry or needs something. Parker didn't really see that as crying.

Spencer is really a happy boy. He has his two bottom teeth, enjoys eating, says 'mama' and 'dada', sits up and is getting ready to crawl. He LOVES watching Parker do anything and everything.
This is just a cute picture of Spencer in the exersaucer :)

Car Request

Parker and I were going down Poplar Ave. earlier this week. We saw a convertible beside us. He asked, "Mommy, what kind of car is that?" I said, "That is called a convertible." He replied, "That is exactly the kind of car that I want."

A Dream Come True

Last week my mommy dream came true! We were having our family Bible bedtime story with Parker. The story was about Adam and Eve. It said they were married. Parker began to ask about being married. He told me, "Mommy, when I am like 20, I want to marry you." I melted! Every mommy wants to hear that from their little boy.

(This is a picture from last year. Couldn't find a recent one. Guess I am always the picture taker.)

Playgroup on Monday, March 2

Monday we had playgroup at our house. Monday was also Dr. Seuss's birthday. Of course, we had things that went along with Dr. Seuss. The children got to make Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat hats for snack.

We used Ritz crackers as the base. We used vanilla frosting to make the Gummy Savers stick together.

We also had other snacks that went along with his books:

Mini Corn Dog - Go Dog Go

Apples - Ten Apples Up On Top

ABC Cookies - Dr. Seuss's ABC's
(We also had donuts and lollipops from this book as well.)

Cheese Trees - Fox In Socks

We had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday!

Snowy Sunday, March 1

Sunday we woke up to 6 1/2 inches of snow! It was absolutely beautiful! Bart and Parker had a blast playing outside. Spencer and I stayed inside due to the fact that he had an ear infection. Bart and Parker made a snowman, snow angels and even an igloo. We made it a special time and made smores and snow cream as well.
