Surprise! Guess Who's 30?

That's right! After a great weekend in Hot Springs (see previous post), somehow my wonderful wife, family & friends surprised me with a 30th Birthday Party. I am usually never surprised but from the picture below you can tell I had no idea. Thanks to everyone for a great 30th birthday party surprise! Of course it wouldn't be my birthday without a few fireworks.

The Lakehouse

For the fourth of July weekend, we went to Hot Springs to stay with 'Great' Aunt Carol and 'Great' Uncle Tim at their lakehouse. We had a great time and it was very relaxing. Parker got to ride in a boat and even got to drive it a couple of times. We even had a picnic out on the boat one day. Parker also did some fishing and caught his first fish. He absolutely loved the fish and had no fear of touching or playing with it. However the fish wasn't hurt because when he was done playing with it, he threw it back in the water.

A Father/Son Moment

A couple of weeks ago, Parker and I were able to have our picture made with the World Series Championship trophy that the St Louis Cardinals won last year. A great moment for a father & son to share... well one day I believe Parker will appreciate this picture. For me, this completes the ultimate story of how I was able to get into Game 5 of the World Series. I now have the memory of the game, the actual chair I sat in during the game (long story) and now a picture of Parker and me with the World Series Trophy.
