Six in a Row

The Iron Bowl - Auburn vs. Alabama. The most important football game of the year for the fans of these two teams. This year Parker got to experience his first Iron Bowl in person. We went down on Thanksgiving night and truly had Thanksgiving on the Plains with fried turkeys and all the fixings. This game is always sold-out and tickets are very scarce, if some are found they are extremely expensive. However, being apart of the Auburn family is such a great experience. As Parker, Mitzi and I looked for tickets, we had an Auburn fan come up and sell his ticket to us for face value (Club ticket with free food no less) and then we had another Auburn fan simply hand an extra ticket they had to Parker. This truly captures the Auburn spirit. We had a great time at the game. Parker would yell 'Defense', sing the fight song and tell us who every player is as he has learned their names and numbers. The best part was as the clock dwindled down, we all began singing, 'It's great to be an Auburn Tiger' and Parker looked at me and said, "Daddy, this is the best!" As you notice from the picture above, it didn't take long for Parker to understand the importance of this game as Auburn won a sixth straight Iron Bowl, 17-10. War Eagle!

Fall

I love the beauty of the fall leaves. Parker had so much fun playing in them when we went to Florence this weekend.

Dallas

Once again Bart had to go out of town for business last week. So we all went to Dallas on November 4 - 9. We had a great time together. Before the work week started, we all went to the Dallas zoo.

Parker actually asked to have his picture made here!

While Bart went to work, I took Parker a lot of places to keep him entertained.

He loves going to the tool store. (Home Depot.)

Playing at Dick's Sporting Goods

We also managed to find a Story time to attend.

Of course, we hit a couple of malls.

However, the highlight of Parker's week was going to the Wiggly Play Center. He called it the Wiggly Playground. It was about a 20-25 minute drive from our hotel, but well worth it. We ate lunch there at the Yummy Yummy Cafe. (Yes, of course, we had fruit salad!) It was great! He had so much fun!He wanted to go back everyday.

Parker Quotes

I just wanted to post a few of Parker's latest hilarious quotes. I hope that you get a kick out of like we did.
  • Whenever he is playing a sport at home with Bart or me or even by himself, he always announces his clothes. For example, "Now bowling in his basketball pj's, Parkerererererer Maaaaaay." (It is said in a very announcer-like voice.) Precious! Not really sure how he started this.

  • Whenever something happens that he just absolutely loves, he says "I cannot believe it!" Not really sure where this came from either.

  • This just happened this past weekend. He told Bart, "Look Daddy! I'm a grown-up." Bart turned and looked and Parker had his napkin in his lap like a grown-up. I DO know where he got this. Parker really likes to put his napkin on the table beside his plate. And being a typical three year old, he asks us WHY we put our napkins in our laps. Well, we answered that's where grown-ups put their napkins. Very cute!

This picture has nothing to do with the post. It was just a cute fall picture.
